SVZ Technologies has developed a novel approach that allows incorporating additional characteristics of material properties into ordinary scanning electron microscope images, forming a more informative false-color picture. This know-how is not similar to a standard method of manual or computer coloring of grayscale SEM images – the final image reflects additional physical information acquired during electron beam scanning, as it is shown in the pictures below (click on the picture to enlarge the image).
After the demonstration of the feasibility of this approach, we plan to start manufacturing custom-designed versions of the system, acquiring additional SEM data and processing it into a color image of the scanned object.
