Optical Tracking System

SVZ Technologies has developed a novel low noise optical sensor that is designed to be a core of optical tracking systems. Corresponding  U.S. Patent No. 9,261,408, entitled “Bolometric Infrared Quadrant Detectors and Uses with Firearm Applications” has been granted in 2014:

The video below shows the operation of the tracking system with a weak signal (under low signal-to-noise ratio conditions).

Experimental data prove that the proposed quadrant detector with 3” IR optics is capable of detecting an object one foot in size having the temperature of 95oF in the 73oF environment at 200 yards distance, and allows automatically aiming with the precision of ~1.5 cm in less than one second.
